After 13 hours on a plane, we landed in Oakland. From there, we drove for another 4 hours to get to Yosemite. It took us more or less 30 seconds to fall asleep once we got to our camp ground. Oh….and it was my first introduction to In N Out. I wasn’t brave enough to get their secret menu…but it was good anyway 🙂 We started our trip in Barcelona and 24 hours later, we were falling asleep listening to waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley….
First day in Yosemite started pretty late for us. Our jetlag didn’t kick in yet so we were a bit off on our sleep and managed to wake up around 9am. Cooking on the camp ground isn’t allowed so we took the car and drove to a scenic picnic area a few miles away. We finished our brunch around 1pm and still managed to get a good hike in. The nature in Yosemite is spectacular. I’ve never seen waterfalls so tall and so laud. The rock formations are one of the most interesting I’ve ever seen. Breathtaking….
Day number two started at 6 am for us. I think it was a mix of our jetlag and the excitement of hike we planned the previous day that helped us to wake up so early. We went to the top of the Glacier Point. The views were amazing and I wish we had more time to hike even further. Unfortunately, our Yosemite adventure was almost over and a few hours later we were on our way to Oakland. Bye bye Yosemite. See you next time 🙂
